We are prepared to accept the filing of international applications containing requests
in PCT-SAFE (EASY model) format, together with PCT-SAFE diskettes.
Please note that PCT-SAFE (EASY model) filings will benefit from a 100 CHF reduction of the total International Fees due when the application filed in paper form is accompanied by the PCT-SAFE diskette generated by the PCT-SAFE software, which contains the request data file and the abstract in text format.
Extensive validation checks performed on the request form data of such applications prepared by the PCT-SAFE software help applicants avoid errors, resulting in high
quality filings.
PCT-SAFE users are requested to submit the following items:
- A printout of the duly completed PCT-SAFE generated Request form with the indication “ For submission “ in the header of each page ( 3 copies ). This printout replaces the printed PCT/RO/101 Request form.
- The application documents ( description, claims, drawings (if any), sequence listing part of the description (if applicable) and abstract in paper form.
- Any other documents, if appropriate.
- The diskette containing the completed PCT-SAFE Request form and the abstract which should be submitted together with the application papers.
The diskette should be labeled “PCT-SAFE“, with applicant’s or agent’s file
reference and the first applicant’s name.
